Cosme Decorte Lacouture BB Cream and Loose Foundation

My first review here. Lacouture is a base makeup line from Cosme Decorte, the highest quality brand of Kose. I've always been fascinated with Cosme Decorte's skin care products, and Lacouture Loose Foundation N was the first makeup item I purchased. Also I got a sample of Lacouture Covering Base BB N then and a few days later, I was at the counter again.

Covering Base BB N (N stands for New, it's reformulated in August 2014) 30g/1.06oz comes in a plastic tube; Lacouture line has 4 different primers in the same packaging, so when you buy it make sure it's labeled 'BB' on the tube. It is available in 2 shades, I got mine in 02 Beige which is medium shade with a slight tint of pink. It works well on my skin. 01 Light Beige is for light/fair skin.

The texture is smooth and runny compared to other BB creams I've tried. I use my fingers to apply, it's easy to blend and it provides a good coverage; evens out skin tone and covers the reddness around my nose well. Lightweight and gives a nice semi-dewy finish, I like it.

Although this is described that fragrance of this product is extracted from organic plants, it doesn't smell organic-ish at all. It smells nice. For lasting power, I use the following foundation to set and it lasts all day without getting oily. Also it has SPF42 PA+++, which means it's perfect to wear all year around.

Next on to the foundation.

Lacouture Loose Foundation N 7g/0.25oz is a finely milled powder foundation. Here in Japan powder foundations are as popular as liquid ones, maybe because people prefer to wear something light during the hot and humid summer days? We use it through the year, though. Anyway, powder foundation is simple and I love trying them.
The compact, the foundation and the puff/brush are sold separately. The pact is pearly pinkish or lilac-ish white, and I can't say it is small...a bit bulky.

This is how the compact looks like when opened. Yes, it's extremely similar to Korean cushion foundation pacts, well, almost same. The only difference is that there's the powder being kept in by a elastic mesh. Just pressing down on the mesh gets some powder on the fluffy puff, but sometimes there are quite a lot of powder over the mesh so tap gently on the bottom or the side a couple times before you use it.

The shade I picked is 302 Ochre. There are 7 shades available; 4 ochre, 2 yellow tone and 1 pink tone. 302 is the medium ochre shade, which I find too yellow at first but a few minutes later it blends well into my skin.

The formula contains 'skin-fit' powders that fills the surface irregularities and smoothes out the skin. The finish is matte and coverage is high, it instantly blurs pores and covers the reddness well. I recommend using a brush to apply it instead of the puff, using the puff might give you cakey/overly matte look. And I felt the drying effects on my skin in the winter, but it works great now.

As you can see, the BB cream looks pinkish on my yellow skin. So I apply a very thin layer of it, the loose foundation covers enough.

For those who have oily skin or love matte finish, you will like powder foundations from Cosme Decorte. I've got samples and tried some; Lacouture, AQMW and their latest brightening range Ever Crystal, and all of them have matte finish. (I heard AQ Meliority, the most expensive one, gives a dewy finish)

Here's a quick review video.
