Review: Dior Fleurs Des Vents Palette in 002 Omotesando Exclusive

Monday, November 2, 2015

I couldn't resist this beauty; Dior Fleurs Des Vents Palette in 002. This face powder is from Dior Perfume & Beauty Omotesando Boutique (located in Tokyo, Japan) 1st anniversary collection which was released on Oct 1st. It's only available at Omotesando boutique and Dior Japan online store. I was very lucky to get one because there were only 10 left when I visited the boutique.

Specially designed by Peter Philips, the Creative Director of Dior makeup, Fleurs Des Vents has beautiful pattern inspired by windmills and flowers, embossed on its powder with the four letters of DIOR. The powder is so soft that the pattern would fade after several uses. It comes in a heavy silver compact with velvet case and mini kabuki brush.

The finely milled powder feels so light and smooth. It sinks into the skin and immediately brightens up my complexion. It doesn't provide any coverage but adds a subtle luminous glow to the skin.

This face powder consists of four different pastel shades - light pink, light yellow, white and light blue. You can mix some shades or buff them all together. Applying top two shades (pink and yellow) makes more healthy-looking complexion, and bottom two (white and blue) are used as highlighter. By mixing all four shades, they work together to give a incredibly clear, smooth finish.

Actually I bought this powder because of its packaging, but after use I find it very useful in multi ways. Quite lovely and I'm so glad to have it in my collection. I also had a great time shopping at Dior Omotesando, there are beauty specialists who have extensive knowledge and experience in makeup/cosmetics, and they are nice. Can't wait to get Dior's State of Gold collection which will be out this Friday.
