Cle de Peau Beaute Brightening Powder Foundation in O20

Now that the rainy season has come, powder foundations are my saviour. As I need to keep it light on the face, and to get ready for the hot and humid summer, I bought Cle de Peau Beaute's Brightening Powder Foundation (it's called Teint Naturel Poudre Blanc in Japan). I've been using it for 2 months and I love it.

I actually dropped by the Cle de Peau counter to buy their latest foundation Radiant Powder Foundation (Teint Poudre Eclat) which I tried a sample and liked, but after trying it on the right side of my face and the Brightening one on the left side of my face, I brought the Brightening one home. Even though both of the shade I tried was the same, the Brightening one looked more brighter and more radiant.

This foundation is sold as a refill. The luxury pearly white compact with gold edge and the sponge are sold separately. Also it has a nice velvet pouch.

There are 6 shades available and I got mine in Ochre 20. It looks very dark in the pan but don't worry, it gives a brightening effect when it's on the skin.

There is a transparent film to store the sponge. It says "Put the sponge on this film after use."

Applying with the sponge gives a pretty good coverage without looking cakey at all. I use the Cle de Peau concealer to cover dark circles. The finish is semi-matte and 'radiant', it catches the light and makes your skin look brighter naturally. If you prefer more natural finish, I recommend to use a brush to apply. I use Hakuhodo's finishing brush or Shiseido's 131 brush sometimes and they work great as well as the sponge. And this foundation is very long lasting, it never look greasy. I'll see how it works in midsummer.

It has SPF25 PA++ which is good for a powder foundation. Also I really like the scent it has; wine and flower.

and here is comparison of Brightening Powder Foundation and Radiant Powder Foundation.

Both are O20 but the Brightening one looks darker and deep in the case, and interestingly, it looks brighter on the skin. I think it's because of the brightening effect powder that it contains.

The Brightening Powder Foundation is Asia exclusive. You can purchase it here

Thank you for looking!
