Review: Cosme Decorte AQ Meliority Repair Foundation in 302

Sunday, March 6, 2016

Hello! It has been a while. Today I would love to share my thoughts on this amazing foundation I purchased in January. I was going to purchase ALBION Excia AL Cream Foundation but I found it unnatural when my skin was in pretty bad condition. (My skin had been like.. worst condition since the end of 2015, because of eating and drinking too much) Cosme Decorte AQ Meliority Repair Foundation is a cream, serum-like foundation, and it had been on my "foundations I'd like to try soon" list.

I LOVED it when I tried this foundation at the Cosme Decorte counter. Its coverage was actually not enough for me but my skin looked almost perfect. I'm so glad I decided to get this foundation.

Cosme Decorte AQ Meliority Repair Foundation is described as "Serum and Foundation", and I find it like a 'tinted' serum, because my skin have never felt so soft, smooth and glowing after I finished cleansing at night. I heard this foundation contains the same skin care ingredients as their famed $1200 moisturizer. I know $200 for a foundation sounds insane, but I would pay that for an effective serum.

Gorgeous packaging, it's glistening and looks amazing on your dresser. The foundation comes in a glass jar, and each comes with a spatula.

The texture is so soft, smooth and creamy (between a cream and a liquid), it's easy to apply for a cream foundation and it blends beautifully into the skin. For application, you need only a tiny amount for the entire face. Yes it's pricey but it will last.

AQ Meliority Repair Foundation is available in 6 shades. I'm 302 which is a medium beige and matches my skin tone. Compared to other foundations I own, 302 looks slightly orange but it's fine with me.

It provides sheer to medium coverage with a satin, glowing finish. I always prefer semi-matte finish, however, I really like how this foundation makes my skin look really hydrated, healthy and supple. Also I set it with Cosme Decorte Marcel Waders face powder (reviewed here) on top so it wouldn't be so dewy. It doesn't cover acne scars that I still need a concealer but it is great at blurring out my enlarged pores. Evens out the skin tone and covers minor imperfections with looking cakey.

I need a powder tough-up twice a day as I get shiny after 4-5 hours. I have combo skin, and I think it may fade a few hours later if you have oily skin. I have no idea if this would last the whole day on me on hot, humid days.

This foundation is very moisturizing and I'm impressed that my skin is still hydrated after removing it. Highly recommended for those who have dry skin.

I really love this foundation as it makes my skin look healthier, glowing. Although I'm still thinking of buying ALBION Excia AL foundation for days I want a doll-like, flawless look. I've been using Cle de Peau Beaute Correcting Cream Veil for primer but I liked it better with Cosme Decorte AQ Meliority Makeup Essence primer because it looked more natural, I think. Hopefully will purchase the Makeup Essence in blue soon.
